This multi-function Wave Cutter Forstner bit combines the many benefits of FISCH’s patented Forstner bit with the benefits of a wood twist drill with an extra-long centring tip. These bits offer precise drilling at extreme angles.
FISCH forged their Wave Cutter Forstner bits from a single billet, followed by CNC grinding and hardening. As a consequence, strength, accuracy and sharpness are at the highest level. The unique serrated ‘wave’ edge produces clean entry holes, allows faster cutting speeds and requires less effort to bore each flat-bottomed hole.
These bits feature an exchangeable centring tip, giving you a choice of using either a standard centre point or a 4mm pilot drill.
The shank has 3 flats for secure chucking in a 3-jaw chuck and easy installation of extensions. Quick connection extensions automatically lock, maintaining 100% true running accuracy without the need for grub screws etc.
By stacking the different combinations of the extensions on the #2MT end, this can be extended to drill 4″, 9″, 13″, or 18″ into your project.
