We carry all of Pfeil's other sweep gouges, including #1 (chisel), #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #9, and #11 (veiner). The higher the series number is, the deeper the curve on the tool will be. For example, the #11 has a much steeper curve (like a deep U-shape) than the #5, and the #3 has a much gentler curve than the #9.

The environment and our living space are important to us. Precious resources like water, air and energy are used sparingly and as efficiently as possible in Pfeil's manufacturing. They deliberately use native woods to produce the tool handles. They are treated with solvent-free vegetable oil; this means for example that the octagonal handles made of ash sit firmly and securely in your hands.

Carving tools should be handled with care. They should be stored in roll-up cases, wooden boxes or wall-mounted tool racks. The tools should not be allowed to fall on the floor or impact one another. This will avoid mistakes when cutting and also injuries. In order to prevent corrosion (rust etc.), the tools must be stored in a dry room. For longer periods of storage, it is recommended that the tool blades are protected with a thin coat of light oil. Â
