The series #1S Double Bevel Skew Chisels by Pfeil Swiss Made is slightly skewed and features a double beveled grind. These tools get easy cutting action and remove neat shavings. Similarly to Pfeil's series #1 Double Bevel Straight Chisels, the #1S Double Bevel Skew Chisels are most often used to shape your wood blank into rough form and for working on larger pieces.

Carving tools should be handled with care. They should be stored in roll-up cases, wooden boxes or wall-mounted tool racks. The tools should not be allowed to fall on the floor or impact one another. This will avoid mistakes when cutting and also injuries. In order to prevent corrosion (rust etc.), the tools must be stored in a dry room. For longer periods of storage, it is recommended that the tool blades are protected with a thin coat of light oil. Â
