#1Morse Taper fits in many lathes – very common in lathes with 3/4″ or 7/8″ spindles (we also have #2MT as well) Multi points provide superior holding power, and spring loaded center makes it easy to align and mount. Minimal marking compared to spur centers – on the bottom of a chair leg etc it leaves only a circle of tiny holes with another in the center
