The Ron Brown’s Best 8″ Quad Jig is an elegant and simple solution for getting consistency in your sharpening of parting tools, skews, roughing gouges, and bowl scrapers on your grinder platform. By getting the perfect angle every time you take off less material when sharpening, saving you time and money.
How to use this product:
This jig is designed to set up the platform on your grinder quickly and easily. Each corner is labelled with an angle and the tool to sharpen with said angle. Simply lay the jig with the edge on your loosened grinding platform and the corner held against the 8″ grinding wheel, and adjust till you have firm contact on both pints of the corner with the edge still flat on the platform, then tighten back down and begin sharpening!
Sharpening Angles:
8 Degrees: for scrapers
45 Degrees: for roughing gouges
21.5/43 Degrees: for skew chisels
30/60 Degrees: for parting tools

Most of our Canadian orders are now shipped via UPS, Fedex, Purolator, or Canada Post on a 2 - 7 day service, however smaller and more remote destinations may take longer to receive their orders.
