NOVA G3 Companion Chuck (no jaws) – Includes Custom Insert

Nova G3 Companion Chuck kit is just the chuck body and insert, without jaws or other accessories. This allows you to pre-assemble multiple chuch/jaw configurations which can be swappd in and out of use for quicker work with less time spent moving jaws from chuck to chuck.

The G3 chuck is Ideal for mini, midi and smaller lathes with up to 14” diameter swing. Provides a high
power geared chuck option for smaller lathes. Light weight and with less overhang which
is perfect for smaller lathe spindles as it reduces stress on the spindle.
The powerful geared TuffLock™ grip with its precise, hardened gear action delivers a
solid, vibration free performance. The chuck key has a fast, positive location, and is
easy and comfortable to use. Single-handed operation means more time spent turning
and less time preparing.

The G3 is an economical option featuring the fast one handed operation of the keyed articulation at price that is more affordable than anything of this quality and with this many features on the market. Yes, it also accepts all other Original Nova, G3, and Super Nova accessories, and is ideal for Mini, Midi, and other lathes up to 14″ swing over bed. Recommended for turning bowls up to 12″ in diameter with  2″ (50mm) dovetail jaw set. Comes with the specified threaded insert to fit your lathe. The new G3 Lite version is a more economical version than the G3 Pro-Tek chuck (the 48286 chuck body is the same as the original G3 48202 chuck).
