The Nova Original G3 Companion Chuck is just the chuck body and key, without jaws or other accessories. This is ideal for those who have multiple jaw sets already and want to make set up more simple. One chuck per jaw set allows an assembled chuck/jaw configurations to be swapped in and out of use for quicker work with less time spent moving jaws from chuck to chuck.
The G3 Chuck is now available in 3 threading options: 1″ X 8 TPI Direct Thread, 1-1/4″ X 8TPI Direct Thread, and an Insert Version that can be adapted to nearly any other lathe. Please select your required thread fitment from the dropdown box!
The G3 chuck is Ideal for mini, midi and smaller lathes with up to 14” diameter swing. Provides a high
power geared chuck option for smaller lathes. Light weight and with less overhang which
is perfect for smaller lathe spindles as it reduces stress on the spindle.
The powerful geared TuffLock™ grip with its precise, hardened gear action delivers a
solid, vibration free performance. The chuck key has a fast, positive location, and is
easy and comfortable to use. Single-handed operation means more time spent turning
and less time preparing.

The G3 is an economical option featuring the fast one handed operation of the keyed articulation at price that is more affordable than anything of this quality and with this many features on the market. Yes, it also accepts all other Original Nova, G3, and Super Nova accessories, and is ideal for Mini, Midi, and other lathes up to 14″ swing over bed. Recommended for turning bowls up to 12″ in diameter with 2″ (50mm) dovetail jaw set. Comes with the specified threaded insert to fit your lathe. The new G3 Lite version is a more economical version than the G3 Pro-Tek chuck (the 48286 chuck body is the same as the original G3 48202 chuck).

DELIVERY EXPECTATIONS
Most of our Canadian orders are now shipped via UPS, Fedex, Purolator, or Canada Post on a 2 - 7 day service, however smaller and more remote destinations may take longer to receive their orders.
Heavier items such as nails and some heavy lathe parts will be shipped by ground and may take up to 7 - 10 days to arrive, depending on location.
