The #7F Fishtail Tools by Pfeil Swiss Made feature a blade that is thin and light, with a curved and flared end. These tools are useful for light wood finishing, lettering, skimming, and modeling. A Fishtail Tool is a chisel with a flared blade that resembles the tail of a fish. The #7F Fishtail Tools by Pfeil Swiss Made (as shown above) features a flared blade with a medium curvature. We carry all of Pfeil's other Fishtail series, including #1F, #3F, #5F, and #9F. The larger the series number is, the deeper the curvature on the flared blade. For example, the #9F has a steeper curve than the #5F, and the #3F has a gentler curve than the #7F, while the #1F is completely flat.

Most of our Canadian orders are now shipped via UPS, Fedex, Purolator, or Canada Post on a 2 - 7 day service, however smaller and more remote destinations may take longer to receive their orders.
Heavier items such as nails and some heavy lathe parts will be shipped by ground and may take up to 7 - 10 days to arrive, depending on location.
Any applicable DUTY, VAT, or BROKERAGE FEES will be charged by your country prior to delivery. Please be aware of your local rates.
Carving tools should be handled with care. They should be stored in roll-up cases, wooden boxes or wall-mounted tool racks. The tools should not be allowed to fall on the floor or impact one another. This will avoid mistakes when cutting and also injuries. In order to prevent corrosion (rust etc.), the tools must be stored in a dry room. For longer periods of storage, it is recommended that the tool blades are protected with a thin coat of light oil.
